He served in the 2nd Australian Light Horse Regiment 1st Light Horse Brigade. He departed Brisbane on the 'Itria' 9 February 1915. Trooper Ernest Rupert BUTLER died of wounds received in action at Gaba Tepe Gallipoli, Turkey on 16 May 1915 age 23. |
